Godwin Habu is from the LGA Karim-lamido of Taraba State, he was passionate about becoming a professional footballer until when he received an insight about singing through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, that’s when his interest changed about football to singing.
He was one time Football College Abuja (FCA) player, and by grace he was opportuned to travel with the team to Italy, and Croatia for a youth competition, but things didn’t work out as expected. He came back and joined his state team FC Taraba, which he played about two seasons with the club before the singing calling came.
The song “Ni Naka Ne” came through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit while he was studying about Jesus Christ, and all he had to pass through to rescue mankind. Going back to the book of Isaiah 53:1-9 he can’t helped it but pledged his allegiance to Jesus Christ that “he is his” that’s why he titled the song to be “Ni naka ne” which by translation means “I am yours”.
