Sir Omada – Official Biography
Sir Omada is a Nigerian Afro-Fusion artist, songwriter and storyteller whose music is rooted in inspiration, emotion, purpose, and African identity.
Born and raised in Kano State, Nigeria, in the Brigade ghetto area, Sir Omada traces his heritage to the Great Igala people of Kogi State. Although deeply connected to his Nigerian roots, his musical influences extend across cultures, with Yorùbá musical traditions playing a particularly significant role in shaping his artistic expression.
Sir Omada has loved music throughout his life. However, limited resources and opportunities during his earlier years restricted his ability to fully explore his musical potential. In 2026, he officially began his professional journey as a storytelling inspirational artist, opening a new chapter dedicated to transforming his ideas, experiences, emotions, and observations into music.
At the heart of Sir Omada’s artistry is inspiration. His music moves across Afrobeats, Afro-Fusion, Gospel, contemporary African sounds, love songs, emotional ballads, dance records, and socially conscious music. Yet regardless of the genre or subject, his signature remains the same: music with meaning.
His songwriting explores the many dimensions of human experience love and relationships, faith and spirituality, family, Nigerian and African identity, life lessons, celebration, dance, social issues, heartbreak, hope, and resilience. His growing catalog reflects this versatility, with songs such as “Ethos,” “AMEN,” “Baby (Dance With Me),” “Happy Birthday My Love,” “We Live To Die,” “How Did We Lose Us,” “2027 (The Prophecy),” “Baby I’m Sorry,” “Come Closer Than Words,” “Slow Down,” “Shake Am for Me (Malembe O),” and “New Dawn Nigeria.”
Beyond performing and songwriting, Sir Omada is deeply involved in the creative process behind his music. He personally writes, and produces his songs, maintaining creative control over his sound and artistic direction. His wife, an accomplished and angelic singer, sometimes assists him in the process, making their creative partnership an important part of his musical journey.
His artistic influences include Nigerian and African voices such as 2Baba (2Face Idibia), Brymo, Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, and Omah Lay, while his own music continues to develop into a distinctive expression shaped by his experiences, beliefs, observations, and love for African storytelling.
At the core of Sir Omada’s music is a simple but powerful belief: before anything else, we are human.
He believes humanity should come before religion, money, status, and the differences that separate people. Through his music, he seeks to encourage people to heal, become more self-aware, love themselves, love others, show kindness, cherish the people around them, and make the most of every moment because life is temporary and none of us will remain here forever.
For Sir Omada, music is therefore more than entertainment. It is a means of communication, reflection, healing, celebration, and connection. Whether he is creating an emotional love song, an inspirational anthem, a gospel record, a dance track, or a song addressing social realities, his goal remains to leave the listener with something meaningful.
Looking ahead, Sir Omada aims to use music and African storytelling to reach audiences around the world, introducing listeners to the richness, beauty, creativity, and diversity of Nigerian music while remaining authentic to his own artistic identity.
